THE Vanuatu Police Force has received another valuable asset to support its operations.
A new Toyota dual cab has been given to the police by the Vanuatu Australia Police Project (VAPP) at a small ceremony at Vansec House.
VAPP Advisor Ron McFadyen formally handed the keys to Deputy Commissioner Arthur Coulton and Mr McFadyen said it was a pleasure to make such a donation to assist the Vanuatu Police in their operations and development.
“As always it is a pleasure and a privilege to be able to provide an asset such as this to the Vanuatu Police Force to help them to do their policing to a professional standard and today is no exception,'' he said.
The vehicle will be used by the firearms registry team to work in the greater Efate area.”
In receiving the vehicle Deputy Commissioner Coulton said the vehicle would provide a high level of support to the firearms team.
“I have great pleasure in accepting this vehicle,'' he said.
"This is a very valuable asset that will support our operations now and into the future. I do urge you to keep the vehicle maintained and take good care of it.
“I thank the Australian Government particularly the Vanuatu Australia Police project for their continued support.”
