FWWA ready to roll the ball

THE Fresh Water Womens Association (FWWA), that was forced to cease its activities in 2008, is now ressurected with the election of a new executive led by Mrs Anneth Mial as President.

Mrs Mial is not new in that position. She was the founder and an active women leader in Fresh Water for more than 10 years, and held the position of President of FWWA until the association was asked by the Fresh Water chiefs to hand over to them Fresh Water Women's activities.

Mrs Mial told The Independent that their first achievement after the election of the new executive is a work plan for 2012.

The plan was launched on Thursday at Fresh Water market house.

This market house was a successful project for FWWA in early 2000 in partnership with the Port Vila Municipality, the then lord Mayor Patrcik Crowby and the NZAid.
